We’ve had several concerned residents who have noticed that early disposal has really made our neighborhood look run down. If you are unable to put your trash out at this time, ASK A NEIGHBOR to take it from your garage to the curb for you!

If your garbage or recycling is not picked up on Wednesday, our scheduled day, please call the City of Jacksonville at 630-CITY (2489). You will need to give your name & address and what was missed.
If you have a complaint about strewn trash, thrown cans or bins, call this number also. If many of us in the neighborhood consistently log complaints about the way cans are thrown about, we should make an impact to improve the service they provide.
The items accepted in the curbside blue recycling bins are: glass bottles/jars, newspaper and inserts, aluminum cans, plastic food, beverage and detergent bottles labeled with a 1 or 2, metal cans, phone books, magazines & catalogs, brown paper bags, flattened corrugated cardboard cut in 2’ x 3’ sections. The items that will not be collected are plastic bags, butter tubs, chemical or motor oil bottles, planters, plastic toys, clothes baskets, Styrofoam, aluminum foil or pie pans, aerosol cans, auto parts, cereal or pizza boxes, window glass, mirrors, or bulk mail.
Yard Waste - scheduled pick-up day is Thursday. Yard Waste includes grass clippings, leaves, shrub trimmings, palm fronds, tree limbs (cut to 5’ or shorter, 6” diameter or less, stacked parallel in piles), and Christmas trees. Again, please call 630-CITY if you have questions or complaints.
Appliances - You must schedule a pick-up of major appliances by calling 630-CITY. Remove or secure any doors before placing at the curb.
